Dell, from the Studio Line which previously introduced their stylish laptop to the market, they also throw the desktop edition, with the slim stylish as well.

However, this slim desktop has a major improvements for the specs, for example the 2.53GHz Core2Duo processors and 2GB of RAM came along the way. There are also HDMI output included, and Blue-Ray support.

Here we go my personal comment. It’s pointing out the contradiction to the consumers actually. There are fixed sizes for PCs, Desktop, Laptop and UMPC; and for their usability, Desktop is permanently stays at home, on your desk, while laptop is lightly for mobile, and UMPC is… okay, more mobile.

How about those who stand in the middle? Mini Laptop, and Mini Desktop. For say, 12.1 - 14.1" of laptop. They’re not as light-weight as UMPC, but not as big as 15.4 - 17" incher. You can’t carry it everywhere with one side of your hand, but it can’t play 3D game so well. Stuck in the middle.

Later on, Slim Desktop. Why do you need slim for something that stays on your desk forever? You have plenty of space under your desk don’t you? And the air circulation is questionable, whether your HDD will roasted faster than before, or anything. And it’s not like you’re moving apartment once a week.

I heard a lot people saying "Don’t do something half-heartedly" —

How about "Don’t buy half-hearted PC" ? =)

Just my 2 cents.
