MSI Wind U100 Review

msi-wind-u100

New Asus EEE Monitor

EEE Monitor

Strike while the iron is hot. ASUS really starts abusing the three-legendary letters “EEE” everywhere… I mean… everywhere!

After successfully kicked out several EEE PCs (70x, 90x, 100x) followed by EEE Desktop PC, ASUS now try to sticks the “EEE” into their new all-in-one multimedia monitor; at least that’s how we’ll call it, while it’s neither HDTV or a normal monitor.

Judges from the picture, it has 4 USB ports, modem, Ethernet port, various in and out audio ports, although there’s no input display port, it has card reader and also integrated WebCam.

Here’s the back-side snapshot.

MSI Titan 700 Mini Desktop PC

msi-7-02-08-titan

MSI Titan 700 which is also placed itself as EEE Mini PC Box’s competitor, already hits the market back on May. For about $500 price tag, this mini-box is not really such a bargain. Not really sure how’s the VIA processor’s reputation, but it supported by Ultra Low Voltage, 2GHz VIA C7M.

The performance also not even close to impressive. From the MS Titan 700 review by trusted -reviews, this box only scored 5 out of 10 points. Yeah, you better get the full desktop PC instead. Why would you go ultra-portable for a desktop?

Nikon D700 Preview

nikon-d700-top

It’s finally get official. After a month being rumored, with also fake photoshopped D700 picture, it’s finally posted up on the official website.

Nikon D700 is a full-frame 12.1 MP Digital SLR Camera. Up until now, it’s still unproven whether this D700 from Nikon could beat the Canon 5D in quality, since D700 will gets priced around $3000 (Body Only) within the end of this month (July).

The CMOS Sensor for D700, apparently is the same with D3’s — 12MP full-frame (36 mm x 23.9 mm) sensor. Other than that, this D700 has a super high tolerance for low-lightning, ISO-wise, it supports from 200 to 6400, and with special mode, you can boost it up from ISO 100 to ISO 25600.

DP Review managed to grabs the D700 on hands, and posted up the deep preview for this camera (check here) — which is also a comparison with Nikon D3.

7-1-08-fujitsu-p1010-le

The new laptop from Fujitsu, featuring this pretty sleek Pink Gold 12″ laptop called as P8010. With the high-gloss finish, this also comes with a pretty outstanding features. First of all, it has 3.5G (HSDPA) WWAN integrated.

Then, followed by Optical Driver (DVD R/W), 1.3 MP Integrated Camera, promising 6 hours of battery life, and weighted only 2.9 pound.

Surely is the best combo for a 12″ WXGA laptop. It combines the portability, light-weight, performance and accessibility.

Tempting to buy one? Unfortunately, it’s official that this laptop is NOT available for North America. This laptop priced at AU$2,899 (approx US$ 2750). Expensive isn’t it? but I can see why.

Add-specs: 1.2GHz Intel® CoreTM2 Duo Processor SL7100, 2GB RAM, 250GB HDD.

LuvBook U100 On Sale

LuvBook u100

Another Mini Laptop will be released (in Japan for now) in July — from Mouse Computer, LuvBook U100. The funny thing is, the design and specs, pretty much completely the same with the MSI Winds which keep gets delayed until July 7th.

The price sets to ¥59,800, or about $570 for the following specs: 10.2″ display, 1.6GHz Atom, 1GB of RAM, 80GB HDD, a 1.3MP Camera, and Windows XP. Identical with MSI Winds indeed, and no one confirms about the legal relationship between these two.

Which one is better? Maybe we should drop em both on the floor to see which one is survived.
