Dell Vostro 2510 Is Coming Up

dell_vostro2510

Dell just releasing their new Vostro Laptop, 2510. Regards for series naming tradition all this long, 2510 doesn’t mean 25″ — instead, it’s 15.4″ WXGA, featuring Core 2 Duo processor with 256 MB nVidia GeForce 8400M GS as the Video Card.

Price starts from $900 for the most basic configuration, which it’s probably too overpriced. You can check the spec detail for Vostro 2510 here, and generally speaking, 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo, 160GB (5400 RPM), 2GB RAM, for 15.4 inch laptop – $900 is practically expensive.

I’m not sure how solid the Vostro built lately, but the design looks promising.

iphone3gblack

Highly praised and awfully flamed. The chronicle of iPhone 3G. If you’re wondering how iPhone 3G performes in daily life, just like most of customers, you will probably trying to pull out the dirts out of it first. Buffalo Blue Ray Disc Recorder

buffalo-bd-recorder1

The Blue Ray technology still wandering around the market today. I’m not sure if it’s an affordable technology, since it’s not only the player itself, but requiring the other elements such as HDTV and Home Stereo set, and a soundproof room probably…

Anyway, Buffalo released the fastest Blue Ray Disc recorder, which is up to 8X speed for BD, and 16X for DVD/R.

Not sure if Blue Ray technology still classified as “new” technology, but today, the fastest current BlueRay Disc available in the market is from Panasonic with 6x speed maximum on data transfer. We know that the faster BD will come out soon enough.

This Buffalo have 2 type of burner, one Internal and External — SATA compatible. The External is using the USB 2.0 connection, and will be available in Japan for $380 (Internal) and $440 (external drive).

Creative Zen Mosaic

zen_mosaic_1

Creative is really pacing themselves in releasing new fresh design for their portable media players. The Zen Mosaic has been announced not so long after Zen X-Fi released, however Zen Mosaic appears to be smaller and lighter than X-Fi. It also holds 32 hours battery life, with 1.8″ display panel (TFT 64k Colors).

The design is pretty unique and catchy — especially the navigation button that seems like aligned to the left, placed with the “mosaic” concept. Let’s check some close up of the features.

XD1 2.5″ External HDD From LG

lg_xd1_2

I’m currently trying to decide for buying between internal and external hard-drive. For the best deal in external hdd, Western Digital looks promising. Not only a good reputation, but also the design. LG apparently ready to enter the external-hdd competition, by releasing the XD1, the 2.5″ external hard-drive wrapped in exclusive and sleek design as well.

It has the USB 2.0 eSata connectivity with the capacities start from 120GB, 160, 250 and 320GB. There is still no information about the pricing and release date, but I wonder if the price will be competitive enough as well as the durability against WD’s products. Good luck.

Bamboo Keyboard and Mouse

bamboo-keyboardandmouse

After the Bamboo laptop, desktop, monitor, now the keyboard and mouse are joining the party. Hand made from the 4-years old bamboo, this pair sell for 30 GBP or about US $60.

It’s pretty cool to have a complete set of bamboo computer in our living room isn’t it? Now we’re just waiting for the bamboo speakers, bamboo webcam, bamboo printer and by some years to go, we can expect a bamboo hard-disk, bamboo processor, bamboo nVidia, bamboo RAM and else. I know… I know…

Japan’s Perverts with iPhone

apple-camera

It might be the fact that Japan has the highest rate of fetishism (no offense) supported by all perverts and freaks, sponsored by smartphone, digital and hidden camera.

The up-skirt photography, which is being considered as the main problem in Japan. Well, most of the smartphones today has facility to feeds your fetishism. Regards to this case, and perhaps due to many complaints, Japan’s iPhone disabling the mute-mode of the shutter-sound effect, even while we’re in Silent Mode — meanwhile, you should bear with the “CRAP — CRAP” sound, every time you hit the shutter button.

Some other smartphone companies even make the sound louder. So, how’s it going? Well, I’m not sure if there’s a hack — but if you’re obesse enough with the up-skirt photography, you might consider to pull the external speaker out.

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11

seagate720011c

While most of Hard-drive companies today, trying to win the storage capacity competition for the compact size, including: SSD, 1.8″ and 2.5″ especially for external hard disk, Seagate now breaking the record as for the largest 3.5″ internal HDD in the world today, cramping the capability of storing up to 1.5 terabyte data in it.

Seagate Barracude 7200.11 spinning at 7,200RPM, and using SATA I interface, and achieving up to 3gb/s transfer rate. It is such a great news for desktop user. However, for laptop, Seagate also under-developing 2.5″ with 500GB storage, under momentus line — for 5400 and 7200 RPM.

Apple iPhone 3G 2.0

Apple iPhone 2.0

Last Friday, the new iPhone 3G was officially for sale. Well, as expected, tons of heavily obessed fanboys and girls were stuck on the line for days in front of the Apple store, say in Japan, New Zealand and some other countries.

It is definately much better, or should I say worse, compared to the Black Friday on Thanksgiving day. In Japan, the line started to summoned on Wednesday, that’s about 2 days before the released date — you can check it on Akihabara report along with the pictures.
