In Taiwan

Asus EEE PC 1000, is already on sale in Taiwan. This 10″ Mini-Laptop comes in two version, 1000 and 1000(H) (Linux and Windows XP). The prices start from $625 and $658. It was such a long journey with all of the rumors, guesses and predicts, where today, Asus already made it official.

It’s still for Taiwan market, however, we’re pretty sure it will reaches USA sooner or later. Here’s a wrap up for the specs, light review, and un-boxed video.

The strongest point on this mini-laptop is the battery life, which claimed around max 7.8 hours on single charge, and 3.5 hours for the minimum. It also has the Super Hybrid Engine technology that provides three GUI modes to easily adjust CPU frequency, voltage, and LCD brightness to minimize system noise and power consumption to save up to 15% power consumption, or to maximize system performance according to individual needs.

After watch that video, I realized that the XP loaded really slow in there, hahaha. Even for the first time experience. Of course, upgrading to 2GB of memory is absolutely recommended.
