simply fun reviews for all today’s news and technologies

Web browser for mobile is like a love affair for your Smartphone and PDA. Opera Mobile 9.5 is not yet going public for download, but it’s already preloaded in some of mobile devices, say HTC Advantage X7510. Unlike the Safari web browser in iPhone, or Internet Explorer Mobile (before v.6), Opera 9.5 really gives a total user-functions, with minimum limitation.
Maybe Opera 9.5 already preloaded inside HTC Diamond as well, not really sure, but for you who need an outstanding kick ass web browser today, you should expect this one released sooner before Internet Explorer Mobile 6 launched, which is also later in 2008.
Unfortunately, even Opera 9.5 been announced back on February, still no official release date yet for download version.
Informed from zdnet, I’ll summarized the review.
First, let me satisfied your hedonist eyes. There’s a “Hi” from HTC Advantage X7510.

So, let’s go to the Opera 9.5.

Opera has the ability that Safari doesn’t have, such as: blocking text, copy and paste, saving and sending images from web browser, and password manager.
It also reaches the next level of quick context-sensitive zooming (called Opera Zoom), fluid finger scrolling and panning, multiple tabbed browsing, ability to save pages for offline viewing, fast page loading, Flash Lite 3 support, and more.
note about the Opera Zoom, all you need to do just double tapping the area around the web browser that you wish to zoom in, it’s done.
Pretty much has the power of what your desktop browser could do. Another good news, the new Google Reader works fantastically with Opera 9.5 as well.

Another Opera setting that really makes me fall in love is the user mode. Nothing beat this one, I can customize it without any hassle.

In security terms, Opera also lets you to see the lock icon just like we normally see in our desktop browser, to confirms that the website is secure. The “auto complete” function is also pretty nice.
The only cons for Opera 9.5 is the limitation in working together with Google Docs. You can view the spreadsheet document in it, but not for document processing. You can’t also editing any documents in it, and I’m not sure when they will have Microsoft Office Mobile Suite.
Even if it’s like that, Opera 9.5 is the king among all Mobile Browsers (for now). The compatibility with Wordpress, also allows you to custom WordPress blog management page;
so you can updating your blog while you’re doing class Exam, either ranting how douche is your professor, or just plainly asking a feedback for your sheet’s answers from your RSS subscribers.
Because you’re too stupid.
