YouTube Camcorder? Yet another YouTube-ism camcorder enters the market.

Facts: most YouTube dedicated camcorders are ignoring the term of quality.

Can’t really blame them since most of it are selling the portability over quality; however this JVC Everio does not really attached to that stereotyping. The video quality on this camcorder is pretty decent. Not just that, it also have some smart features desired by YouTube user.

First, it has a fast start-up speed. For capturing unexpected moments, it surely does help a lot. The 35x optical zoom also brings the scene closer to your viewer. Then, it also has a nice and easy touch-screen navigator.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t have the image stabilization, which is quite annoying for some people. Well, handling 35x zoom is not an easy task to keeps your hands steady and firm during recording.

Other thing is the lack-ness with Mac compatibility. This camcorder somehow stuck in the middle of AVCHD camcorders, and the cheap compact camcorder such as: Mino, Flip, and friends.

Another features:

  1. Using SD Memory Card.
  2. 3hr 45min (ULTRA FINE) / 19hr 50min (ECO) on 16GB SDHC card.
  3. Still Image resolution 640×480 pixel in JPEG format.
  4. Video: MPEG-2 PS.
  5. Audio: Dolby Digital (2ch).

For the price of $350, JVC GZ-MS100 makes a problem for us deciding to go for the half-priced cheap YouTube camcorder, or burn couple hundred dollars more for the high-def with image stabilization camcorder.
