simply fun reviews for all today’s news and technologies

Creative Vado, DXG 569V, and now this. JVC seems like confident enough to bring this Camcorder into YouTube lover. It’s not that thin and compact, compares to the other, it’s just like ordinary camcorder; however, it still lightweight. Measured for 0.6 pound with the battery.
It’s pretty fit inside your palm anyway. Here’s the comparation:

The memory is also using an SD Card, instead of built-in Hard-Drive. Pretty affordable, and flexible depends on the User’s need.
The ‘YouTube’ terms, are not talking only about the compactness, but also the dedicated features for YouTube recording purpose. For example, it has a 10 minutes recording limit time. Neato.

For storage and cataloging, recorded videos can easily be transferred to a PC via USB2.0 or directly using the SD Card. The provided CyberLink application also allows easy burning to DVD using the computer’s optical disc drive.
Or, to create DVDs without using a computer JVC offers the CU-VD3 Everio SHARE STATION as an option. Since it was designed as an Everio companion, this DVD burner accommodates Everio’s USB Host function that allows scene playback order to be rearranged within the camera before transfer.
Even if it said like that, I’m not desperate enough, or have never been in some emergency situation where I really have to editing my recorded videos on the portable itself. Same goes with the Digital Camera. Just snap it, check, make adjustment, snap!, snap! and delete later.

After recording is done, connect the GZ-MS100 to a PC via a USB cable and press the UPLOAD button. This automatically launches the supplied application for uploading to YouTube™.
But yeh, you still have to do several mouse clicks to make it works, but that a bit less painful rather than to have you transferring the videos into the hard-drive, open the browser, log on, and so on, right?
The battery holds up to 2 hours for a single charge. Need higher capacity? There’s BN-VF815 series for 4 hours and 15 minutes, then we have BN-VF823 for 6 hours and 25 minutes for a continuous use.
Complete with 35X Optical Zoom.

Can’t really gives the footage at the moment, since it’s not yet available until next month, June.
