simply fun reviews for all today’s news and technologies
It’s been a week since I’m using this headphones, Sennheiser HD 202, so I’m going to write little bit review about it.
I’m quite satisfied with this product, which is a sweet, or probably the best deal for $20 price margin, for the performance given by this headphones.
Performance
Well, you can’t judge the quality of the headphones from the spec. Nothing really special from it’s spec if we see:
Compared with previous headphones I bought, the specs look better than this, but they just annoying. So, you really have to try to put them on your ears, rather than concluding based from its spec.
This HD 202 has a good response for bass to treble. It doesn’t lose the detail and balance. The Bass is not THAT powerful, if you compared it with Sony MDR series, or other "Bass Booster" type of headphones, but it also depends on your mp3 player as well.
With FLAT-equalizer setting, you might suffer from lack of bass with HD 202. But if your mp3 player has the custom-EQ setting or Bass Booster option, it’s way more than enough, since HD 202 is pretty responsive.
iPod doesn’t have both
Design
The 10 feet cord is subjective. For portability, it’s indeed the killing point of it. The cable wrapper that came with it doesn’t help so much, since it’s open so the cable might loose and untangle anytime.
But for desk-user, this long cord might be the advantage of it. You can watch your big screen from distance with your headphones.
The ear buds, personally I think the holes are bit too small for the full ear-lobes. After couple hours, your upper ears will get numb; but that usually happens if you let the ear-buds hanging on your ears. Tightening the band, probably will helps a little bit.
It’s also lightweight. Doesn’t give any bulky / dork impression.
I bought this $20 from Amazon.com, and I’m loving it — even I’m still thinking how to manage the long cord efficiently. Definitely worth it =)
