This is the 2nd headphone I bought after Sony MDR-V150. Philips SHS 390 — from Walmart this time (avoiding re-stocking fee? I love Walmart!).
I’m not really into an ear-clip/hook type of person. I was curious though, therefore I bought it for around $12, I forgot.
Here’s the quick spec:
It has bit deeper response compared to the previous Sony, but the sound quality is quite decent. Way better than MDR-V150 in my opinion. Bass - Treble are in balance, even not really spectacular, but it’s reasonable.
My score for this behind-the-neck headphone is: 7/10
My complain only regards to my personal preference, the comfortable. Maybe it just me, maybe not, but my top ears hurt after for like 40 minutes use. Numbness, and kind of pain when you have to move the frame, pressing against your ears.
I asked my friend who is a big fan of Ear-Clip design, he said that it might be… because it’s cheap. Okay, blame the design, not my ear then. I returned this and moved on.
